Early Life

Sne was born Snenhlanhla Mseleku on 28 August 1994 to Musa Mseleku, a KwaZulu-Natal polygamist. She lost her mother at the age of 12 and grew up with her grandmother. As a child, she wanted to be a policewoman.

Sne later moved to live in her father’s house and stayed under the care of her stepmom, MaCele. Tragically, a trusted family member violated her sexually at the age of 12.

Career

Her career as a reality personality revolves around her family’s reality show, Uthando Nesithembu. She is also part of the show Izingane Zes’thembu. On the show, viewers have learned about her upbringing and how much MaCele loved her.

At first, Sne’s character on the show was problematic. She revealed that her father’s wives, MaKhumalo and MaNgwabe, do not show her much humility and love like MaCele.

Sne has a partner, who she says has helped with achieving goals. She has multiple children, including a son, Samkelo.

Her bad habit of clubbing with friends affected how she cared for her son. She would use the grant to club and drink.

“When the monthly grant came in, all I knew was to go out clubbing with friends, spending it. I’d drink all of it. Even when I get my salary from Uthando Nesithembu, I would combine it and drink it all.”

Sne lives in the same house with her father, Musa Mseleku, who also gives her allowance. Her father also assists her by buying her children stationery and uniforms and paying school fees.

Her father lamented why he gave her tough love. He says, “I do not know what society wants me to do. Show me what parent will be disrespected and disregarded for years and continue as if nothing has happened.”

“I am giving Sne tough love because that seems to be the only language she understands. We started by listening, accommodating, and understanding, but she deliberately showed that she does not want to be a child.”

Sne, who is now adamant about changing her ways, admitted using her son’s grant money on herself.

“I don’t want to lie. I wasn’t looking after Samkelo, but now I try to look after him and give him the things he needs. Last year, I didn’t look after him and used his grant money on myself, but now he gets his grant money.”
