Londeka Sishi (born 1996) is a South African actress and Internet personality. She is best known for playing Nkanyezi on the drama series Adulting, which premiered on Showmax and 1Magic.

Early Life

Londeka Sishi was born in 1996 in Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. She has six siblings, having three older and three younger ones. Out of her siblings, she grew up with her great-grandmother, while her other siblings lived with her mother.

The actress moved to live with her mother and siblings while she was in grade 3, so she had to make adjustments. Her mother is a pastor, who was stricter than her great-great-grandmother.

When she joined a new school, Sishi encountered challenges because she came from a black people-only school into a multi-racial school. She adjusted and learned everything fast because she was an intelligent child.

Career

Before becoming a known actress, Sishi had a project management job. She had to resign from the job, with immediate effect, after venturing into the acting space.

At first, while wanting to enter the industry, many auditions weren’t successful for her. The casting directors rejected her many times. She had to give up and return to her corporate career.

She and a friend happened to stumble upon an open call by Tshedza Pictures for a new show on social media. She summoned the courage to go for it, recorded a self-tape, and submitted it. After a short time, Sishi got a callback shortly.

Following her acting success, Sishi moved to Johannesburg near the set. She played Nkanyezi, Bonga Tembe’s love interest, on the drama series Adulting. Part of her role was to shoot adult scenes, opening the doors to explore her risqué side as an actress.

Sishi has appeared in other productions, such as Umjolo: There Is No Cure – an LGBT love story. In the Stained Glass romance genre, she played a lesbian beauty queen, Thoko.

Londeka Sishi is not related to Ntobeko Sishi, a former Gomora star. She is a proud mother of a daughter, Liyana. Becoming a mother gave her a reason to live when she suffered from depression and thought of taking her life.
