February 16, 2025LaConco (born 16 October 1991) is a South African TV presenter, producer, and businesswoman. She is a former The Real Housewives of Durban cast member and the founder of LaConco Apparel and LaConco Naturals.
The Forever Thina presenter won the Best TV Presenter at the 18th Annual South African Film And Television Main Awards in October 2024. She hosted season 2 of the reality series on Mzansi Magic Ingane Yam.

Early Life
Nonkanyiso Conco was born on 16 October 1991 in a shack close to Palm Ridge in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Her mother raised her. Growing up, she sold sweets and snacks in school for extra cash. Her family came from Matatiele, Eastern Cape.
Education
LaConco attended Haythorne Secondary School in Pietermaritzburg. She studied journalism at Varsity College Durban North.
Career
LaConco worked as a student intern at a Zulu-language newspaper in Durban. She was already working as a journalist in Durban and had bought her first car in June 2015.
She has diversified her portfolio, appearing on Ingane Yam, Our Perfect Wedding, and Vuma FM. She also presented Mzansi Magic’s Forever Tina.
LaConco joined The Real Housewives of Durban for season 2 and is a part of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip – South Africa.
She is the sole director of GN Massages, based on records by the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission.
LaConco was a member of an organization that advocates virginity testing and no sex before marriage. She joined the Nomkhubulwane Culture and Youth Development Organisation as a teenager.
The TV star attended and participated in reed dances, a practice that presented young virgin women to the Zulu king.
In 2024, she won the Best TV Presenter at the 18th Annual South African Film And Television Main Awards at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand.
After a remarkable success in broadcast, LaConco is capitalizing on her fame to get into the fashion and beauty industry. She launched a beauty, cosmetic, and personal care brand, Laconco Naturals, in July 2020.
Conco expanded her brand and launched the Laconco Apparel at Edgars Sandton City. She also supports and works with local brands, including Libo Creations, a Durban Fashion Fair brand owned by Sizwe Mncube.
She founded a community organization aimed at empowering the youth called Sikhanyisa iSizwe. She hosted the second season of the reality series on Mzansi Magic Ingane Yam.
Personal Life
LaConco started dating former president Jacob Zuma in March 2016, when she was still a virgin. After paying her Lobola, Zuma bought her a diamond engagement ring.
Although Jacob Zuma is 50 years older than LaConco, they initiated their conversation about pregnancy in January 2018. They had a son, Sakhaumuzi Zuma, on 12 April 2018. Her son turned six years old in 2024.
She delivered him by cesarean section at the Busamed Hillcrest Hospital in Durban. Zuma visited her on the day of delivery.
LaConco and Zuma separated with her, sharing on public platforms that she never thought she’d be raising her child as a single parent.
Despite their separation, LaConco has maintained a good relationship with her ex. She wished him a happy birthday with a sweet message in April 2023.
In 2022, the reality TV star started working on her body transformation. She revealed that she was having liposuction again in September 2024 for my stomach because she was still dealing with a lot of skin excess.
