He was the Campaign Officer and Legal Adviser of the Creative Workers Union of SA from 2005 to 2012. He has worked with many modeling and casting agencies from 1994 to 2005.

Early Life
Ike Thamsanga Khumalo was born in 1972 in Orlando, Soweto, South Africa. His parents relocated to Pimville, Klipspruit, and raised him there.
Education
Ike Khumalo completed matriculated from Musi High School, Pimville, in 1991. He enrolled to study Law at the University of South Africa, majoring in labour, international law, environment law, and Constitutional law.
In 2017, Khumalo obtained a Master’s Degree in Labour Law from the University of South Africa. He holds a Certificate in Multicultural Conflict and Problem Solving from RAU and did a one-year certificate course in student development and skills at the University of South Africa.
Career
Ike Khumalo focused on civil litigation in personal injury and Labour law as an advocate of the high court from 2011 to 2022. He was the campaign officer and legal adviser of the Creative Workers Union of South Africa (CWUSA) from 2005 to 2015.
Apart from being a legal representative, Khumalo worked as a freelance actor and model from 1994 to 2005. He landed gigs with many casting and modeling agencies and has performed in theatre, television, and films.
Khumalo co-owned Kirsten-Khumalo Production from 2002 to 2010. He was the National Organiser for Performing Arts Workers Equity (PAWE) from 2003 to 2005.
Khumalo focused more on RAF matters and criminal law, from 2012 to 2021.
Advocate Ike Khumalo was the legal representative of advocate Malesa Taffo, who faced charges of malicious damage to property, assault, and theft, in 2023. However, Khumalo and his legal team withdrew from representing him.

Arrest
His topics on social media are controversial ranging from xenophobia, employment, religion, and politics. The state accused him of posting videos instigating the public to protest against politicians.
Ike was later arrested on 25 July 2021 in connection with the violent protests that have rocked the nation at his home.
He applied for bail in August 2021, and the court accepted and granted him R3,000 bail. He faced suspension for using social media platforms and illegal gatherings.
